Statement from the artist:
I am a painter and draughtsmen specialising in oils and traditional drawing materials. After many years of working in a variety of scales and styles I am currently working on a cycle from straight objective sources. A graduate and post-graduate of the Birmingham College Of Art (N.D.D, A.TD.) I was awarded an A.R.A.S. from the Royal Academy in Piccadilly. In 1989 an M.Phil for a large cycle of works and thesis entitled 'The Mythological Figure in the Landscape'.
My exhibiting experience includes the Royal Academy Summer Exhibitions, The Hayward Gallery (5 Occasions), The John Moores Liverpool Exhibitions (4 occasions), The Queen's Silver Jubilee Exhibition and many more both nationally and internationally in locations as far apart as Frankfurt and Hong-Kong. One man exhibitions have included the Arts Council IKON Gallery, The City Museum and Art Gallery, an Arts Council touring exhibition and in recent years a number of private exhibitions at eight different locations in South London.
